Baking and Canning

At this meeting of our baking and canning project, we made and canned grape jelly then baked an apple crisp with a club member’s grandmother. We had a wonderful time learning about the process of baking and learning how to make jelly! A266BC3A-BFEC-43F6-80EF-0B0B32E5CBBA81AB0AE8-D9ED-4263-8AC8-72890C7D17879BF17FC6-62E4-4369-A991-88035F168EC8

Although it may not feel like it, summer is almost here, and it’s time for us to prepare for our summer planting. At this work day, we mulched, weeded, and generally prepared for planting.

Deer Fencing

Brr! This garden workday was a chilly one! Over the winter, the fencing that surrounds our garden fell down due to heavy winds. Before we can start our spring garden, we need to replace it! We spent a chilly morning putting up new fencing and maintaining our garden space. Soon, it’ll be time to plant spring vegetables!
